It has been a while since I uploaded a beauty post on here but I was itching to take some photographs of my favourite products that I enjoyed this year. 2014 was a year for me which I hardly bought any new beauty items. I tend to wear little or no make up at all and since my blog had a sort of content shift there wasn't the same need to try the latest lipstick or eyeshadow. That doesn't mean that I bought nothing or didn't enjoy any beauty products this year.
Dr Bronner's Magic soap in Lavender - this product always appears on blogs and Youtube channels but for cleaning your make up brushes. I have tried using it for this use and it does work , really well actually but I couldn't help feel like it was a waste of great smelling product so I changed the use of the magic soap. I love using a few drops of this in my bath and it is like essential oils but at a seriously cheaper price. The soap has many uses some which I have tried and didn't work out like washing your face and hair but other simple ones like washing your hands or the method I mentioned above works very well.
Zoeva Rose Gold Collection - A brush collection that every beauty lover needs in their collection. Within the collection there is an amazing range of brushes for every make up task , the quality of these brushes is similar to a high end product and the rose gold detail is just gorgerous. The fibres of the brushes are incredibly soft and can make any eyeshadow or base product blend effortlessly. My favourites are the petite brush and the luxe soft definer.
Sally Hansen Instant Cuticle Remover - when I first bought the cuticle remover I didn't think it would work at all but after testing it out on a rather thick and horrible cuticle and successfully removing it, it appeared it definitely worked. Since then I have never went back and use it ever time I need to push back or remove the cuticle an amazing product for everyone who wants an easy manicure.
Rimmel London eyeshadow primer - let me just make it clear that once you start using a primer for your skin or eyeshadow you will never go back. Rimmel London this year seemed to fill a gap in the market and introduced a drugstore primer perfect as a base for eyeshadow. Once applied to your eyelids your eyeshadow will apply a little more pigmented than usual and lasts a whole lot longer.
Maybelline Colour Drama in 'Red Essential ' - I love a good bold lip and when I spotted this new lip release from Maybelline I was so excited I'm not even exaggerating. There is an amazing range of colours but it was this classic red that caught my eye not only are they under five pounds the crayon like lipstick is a perfect drugstore dupe for the Nars Velvet matte lipstick.
Mac eyeshadow in 'Brown Down' - this is my only Mac eyeshadow that I own and I love it. A intense brown matte shade that can be used for many different eye looks. it can be worn as an eyeliner , all over the lid or placed in the crease for a smokey look.
Rimmel London blush in ' Santa Rose ' - I don't own a lot of blushes maybe because I have found the perfect one for any make up look. The Rimmel London blush is an pale pink shade which give the perfect natural pink flush. It works particularly well with a bold lip or a natural make up look.
Just to let you know my internet has decided to stop working which means I can't promise regular posts until it is fixed. It will also affect my design shop as well. Orders are still being placed but designs will take a little longer to complete.
What were your favourite beauty products of 2014 ?
