21 December 2014

I created an blog survey earlier on in the week which you can still complete. I wanted my readers to give me some feedback about my blog and it was so interesting. It seemed a lot of you wanted to know a bit more about HTML so here it is. When I started my blog I didn't even know what HTML was and it never occurred to me that I would ever need to know what it was or how to use it. The aesthetics of a blog is a huge factor for most bloggers , most get their professional designed which I have to admit is very effective and professional looking but some designers are quite expensive and if blogging is a hobby it can be hard to even spend under £20 on it.

Let me bring you back to when I first started my blog when I didn't have a clue. Once I became aware   that I could design my own blog it somehow became an obsession of mine to fine out how I could do it. To begin HTML was seriously daunting and even now I still probably don't have the same knowledge as a graphic designer but I have enough to completely design a Blogger blog and have my own design shop Wish Designs but the HTML I learnt didn't happen over night. It took me hours of searching online and trying to find the solution to the problem. This method got very annoying at times as it took so long to find an answer but the key was to stick with it. Below I have summed up how you can improve your HTML and learn some of your own.

- If you want to change something on your blog ask a fellow blogger or search Goggle using key words.
-Pinterest is really good for finding HTML or design tips
- Some blogs have dedicated their site to help you design your blog or learn a little HTML my favourites are Sweet Electric , Help Blogger and Xomisse.
- It will take a little time to figure some things out and to feel comfortable with designing your site
-Don't get annoyed if you can't do something you will overtime just stick with it
- If you want to try a new code on your blog make sure to back up your old template
- I suggest you start with a simple CSS code to start before moving onto HTML

Now for the exciting part I want to give away a custom design from my design shop to one lucky reader for new year . To enter all you have to do is enter using the Rafflecopter widget below. The competition is open internationally and you have to have a BLOGGER blog to enter. The winner will be chosen on Sunday 28th December so your blog can be designed just in time for the New Year.

I hope you found this post helpful and if you have any designing queries don't be afraid to ask!
