HOW TO HAVE A HAPPY BLOG

In our lives we have many doubts in ourselves and naturally our blogs. It is very easy to get down about your blog and feel it is not worthy of a place on the Internet but we have to remind ourselves that it is. We have all had our down moments when it comes to blogging but we need to make sure that we can pick ourselves up and continue with what we love. There are some things that I find help me when it comes to having a happy blog.

Don't compare Yourself to others - It can be very easy and dangerous to compare your blog to someone else's especially one that has been around for a lot longer than yours. I done this a lot when I started blogging, I would not only compare my blog to others but instead thought it would be a good idea to compare with the "bigger" bloggers out there. This was very damaging to my blog as it made me unmotivated and I had a poor attitude towards my blog.  If you find yourself doing this the best thing to do is concentrate on your own blog and acknowledge that maybe your blog isn't at the point where you want it to be but with just continuing you are improving everyday. Even comparing your first and last post together can show the huge improvement you are making.

Give your blog a make over - simple things usually make you happier and blogging is no different. Upgrading your design can work wonders for not only your readers but you as the creator, having a fresh new look can boost your creativity and motivation (that is why I change mine so often. )  Making sure that it is clean , fresh and doesn't have mass amounts of clutter also helps your blogging mojo.

Be organised - when I say this I don't mean be strict or become obsessed with everything being in order as I can't really give that advice ( my skills in organisation aren't the best.) What I mean by this point is something simple as taking bulk photos at the weekend can ease the pressure off for the week ahead especially if it is during the winter months. Another thing I like to do is write a list on possible posts that I would like to write in the future.

Don't pressure yourself - I think due to the high quality of blogging it is very easy to put excessive amounts of pressure you and your blog. I don't think that this is very sensible, there is enough pressures in our everyday life with out adding more to something that should be a bit of fun or an escape from our worries or struggles.  If you don't post one day don't worry or get annoyed with yourself there is always tomorrow. It's not like homework you won't get into trouble for not doing it.

How do you keep your blog happy ?

  8. ooh I love giving my blog a makeover wherever I can! I get bored easily so sometimes I'd try to redesign my blog however I can... as for comparing myself to others? I've been so busy that I barely have time to read blogs, so when I do, I just focus on how much I enjoy their post, rather than looking for reasons why a blog is better or worse than mine..
