BLOGGING MISTAKES I'VE MADE

I wanted to do a bit of a light heartened post today and please don't take what I write serious. I can probably bet money on it that if you are reading this and are a blogger then you can totally relate to the title of this post. Every blogger has made mistakes and yes these are brilliant as you can learn from them , find out how to fix them and move on. Whilst some may say they don't regret their mistakes you have to admit you sometimes look back on them and think what was I doing ? ( Well imgine being a blogger and having physical proof of these cringe worthy, mistakes! ) I really wish that I had a book of what to do when I started blogging but yet again I loved the process of "figuring things out " and there is no better feeling than to look back at your first post and then your most current one and notice such a huge improvement.

One of my biggest mistakes was my photography. Even though you will be shocked to learn that I have used the same camera the whole way through my blogging journey but to look at my photos you wouldn't think so. I was obsessed with filters when I first started blogging and they weren't doing my images any justice just adding a major blue tinge to them. I never seemed to be able to understand the concept of natural lighting either as a lot of my images were taken in the evening time making them so dark.

My content for the first half of blogging was embarrassing. I made so many grammar and spelling mistakes and I never seemed to write more than a sentence for a review plus all my writing was centred which makes me disgusted at the very thought of it!

Blog design was something I have always taken a keen interest in ever since I started. I am so grateful that blog designs can be reversed because I had quite a few bad ones. I seemed to love joint hard to read font for my page text and I managed to incorporate every bright colour invented on my blog. It was so busy and didn't do my blog any justice or help it develop.

Even though I may classify these as some of my blogging mistakes it's important to reflect that this is normal especially when you have no idea what your doing. When I started blogging I literally didn't have a clue and had to learn everything myself and I'm sure many of you did too and that has to be commended not frowned upon.

What blogging mistakes did you make ?

  2. Photography too! I'm only just getting to grips with how I want my photos and I think I'll keep learning how to make things better. Nothing wrong with admitting to mistakes - developing as a blogger is a fun journey.

  5. Definitely agree! My photos were sooo dark as well. I also had centered text, and made the mistake of having small photos that didn't line up with the text! I'm so much happier with my blog now haha.

  7. I used to have crazy designs as well... I get quite bored easily so I tend to change it often.. gosh.. and photos? Yeah I'm still learning. and being repetitive with posts also could be counted as a mistake I think.
