Hello! I am Chaitra and my little home on the web is at PinkPot. I am so glad to be writing for Sinead's beautiful blog today. Thank you Sinead! We've been enjoying the summer for a while now, and we aren't too far away from wearing leather jackets. So, I thought this is the best time to share my most loved beauty items this summer. I hope you enjoy this post!
Summer months shout oily skin, and this is the time I crave for a non-greasy, light weight moisturiser. And the Origins Ginzing moisturiser is a perfect fit with its gel-lotion kinda formula. It is very citrusy and the perfect wake me up for lazy mornings. The Ginzing eye cream that comes along brightens and moisturises the under eye area without being greasy and has a lovely cooling effect too. Sometimes, when I am not in the mood for concealer, this alone gets the job done.
I like using minimal makeup in summer. On most days I stick to basics with just eyeliner, mascara and a lip balm. Revlon tutti frutti lip butter is a bright orange, moisturizing lip butter that is just so perfect for summer. The MAC Fluidline black track gel eyeliner (what a long name!) is a new find for me, but I have very quickly fallen in love with its non-smudgy, easy to apply and long-wearing formula. I love how much of an intense black it is. Mascara is a must, and my recent favorite is the Makeup Forever Smoky extravagant mascara. I received this as a sample in my birthday gift from Sephora and now I can’t stop using it. It volumises like no one's business and is clump free, smudge-free and a nonsense-free mascara. Perfect I say!
Sometimes when I am in the mood for an extra pop, I have been loving this candy pink blush called Dollymix from MAC. It is a sheertone blush and blends like a dream. I love how the very tiny shimmer in it brightens the cheeks when I am out in the sun.
So there you go, the things I have been loving the most this summer. It’s been a lovely summer and I just don't want it to end. Here's to summer cocktails, beaches, sunglasses and bright lips. Enjoy while they last! Cheers! :)
