BUYING BEAUTY ON A BUDGET

I live on a budget especially when it comes to buying beauty products but my love for them means I've had to come up with ways to ensure that I can still buy the beauty bits I want but without causing an overdraft on my card or making me penniless.

1. Shop around. Just because you see a product you like in one shop doesn't mean you should buy it straight away you may see it somewhere else cheaper or there could even be a 3 for 2 deal on so you get more products than you initially wanted for cheaper.

2. Shop online. Amazing online shops sell high end products for a fraction of the price. A shop I love is Fragrance Direct they have some amazing deals with a mixture of brands and products.

3. Rummage around your stash. I have done a post about this in the past and taking a look at what you already own you may find products you have forgotten about but once truly loved. This is great for your wallet and helps you reduce the size of your make up collection by using everything up and not having excess amounts of make up.

4. Drugstore is best. If you live on a budget the chance is you're not going to be heading to MAC or Urban Decay. Drugstore products have really upped their game and offer some of the best products which even beat some of the more expensive brands. Thinking that high end make up is everything is not true!

5. Read some blogs. If you are reading this then there is a high chance that you have a list of blogs that you trust and love to hear the opinions off. If you have your eye on a product that you want especially if it is more on the expensive side then a bit of research or reading reviews can really help give you a clearer idea of whether or not it's the product for you.

What are your tips for budget beauty ?

  1. I love shopping online for makeup products! ASOS has Rimmel and Bourjois for so much cheaper than they are where I live, it's amazing!

  2. I think reading blogs is the best thing you can do - there are so many blogs and so many great finds, deals, offers and competitions.

  3. Great post with some excellent ideas! I think it's important for everyone, whether buying drugstore or high end to be conscious about getting the most for their money. For me, I sometimes find it difficult to shop in the drugstores & online as I have a lot of allergies & ingredients can be tricky to come by (I went into 5 drugstores in London yesterday for a specific product & none of them had the ingredients available!). I love my points cards - I've picked up a YSL lipstick for free using my points! Xx

  4. Fab post sweetie, I really need to check Fragrance Direct out more as it sounds brill for bargains :) If I do go high end I always like to buy from Debenhams and Boots for the points as they stack up and I can either get money off my next product or get something for free :)

  6. I always wait for free shipping or sales, especially when I want to by a higher end product. There are usually even more sales around the holidays at places like Ulta
