My hair is probably the one thing I don't really bother about I never look for a new hairstyle or buy many hair products but the milkmaid braid has defiantly caught my attention. I am obsessed with plaits of any kind and unfortunately I am the only person in my household that can manage a french braid but can't complete it on myself so only simple hairstyles are on my list.

The milkmaid braid is easily done on others and also fuel proof for self stylists. The braid requires no special hair equipment just a brush , bobble and a few clips. To begin I brushed my hair throughly making sure  it is easy to work with then spilt the hair in two and plait each section and fastening with a plastic bobble which I purchased in Boots. I then brought one plait over the top of my head and secured with a hair clip and repeated for the other side.

You can then take a few piece of hair out of the plait and ensure it doesn't fall down by using some hairspray. The hairstyle is so simple and can be a nice change from your typical hair do's.

Have you tried the milkmaid braid ?

  1. This is such a cute hairstyle! My hair is so heavy though, so i'm not sure if it would work :( xx

  3. I definitely hope to try milkmaid braids at some point when it starts to warm up. It's still pretty chilly over here so I like to keep my hair down. I always think milkmaid braids are so pretty but we'll have to see if it suits me. xx
