GGTBB / PHOTOGRAPHY

I'm sorry that this post is a bit late but I have so much school work at the moment. Today I will be discussing photography. This is such a huge topic and I don't want to share  excess amounts of info as photography is a thing that has to be learnt through trial and error. When I first started blogging I already owned a DSLR as I enjoyed taking photo well before I started blogging, it's true when people say that owning a DSLR is not a necessity but I believe that if you can afford one and will use it then it's well worth the investment. I think before you start to take beautiful photos you should learn how to use your camera, if you do own a DSLR then it's a waste if you keep it on auto all the time as the photo will be no better than a digital camera.

I currently have my camera on Aperture mode which lets you blur out the background something I love. The second thing I would recommend  is a new lens which I received at Christmas one of the best things I got it improved my photos so much. Next thing would be make sure all your photos are taken with natural or soft box lightening, I personally use natural lightening as I rather the result but then the disadvantage of that is I have to take all my photos in morning. At the weekend I tend to take bulk photos so they all are up to the same standard.

I think the most important thing is the editing of your photographs the most popular free software are Picmonkey and Pixlr. They can improve the brightness of your photographs making them look more attractive than the original.

As you can see editing your photos improves your photographs quite a lot. In the first photo it is very dark but the second is true in colour and much brighter. For great photos I like to use props such as flowers , magazine pages and a white background which can give a photo personality and depth. I do hope that this post has been of great help and don't forget to check out Maddy and Brittany's post on photography too !

  1. I do not own a DSLR camera yet, as I really wanted to understand the basic behind it. As you say, it is a waste if you do not use the features correctly! I use photoscape to edit, I also like to brighten them, usually on the medium setting!

  2. Great post! I am desperately wanting a DSLR camera right now and have money saved up. I hope that my pictures will get better with that.
As you said, you learn the most about photographs by doing it.
