Sometimes I like to treat myself to a pamper and usually this involves a manicure! I'm usually very busy and painting my nails during the week can be a struggle and even if I do manage to find time they are never as well done as I would like so whenever I am free I like to take the time to give myself the full treatment! I often start by buffing my nails getting rid of the dry and damaged layer of nail to create a smooth and clean surface. There are many buffers available and I usually use a
Topshop or
Poundland one. I then file my nails if I think its needed, I don't always do this step sometimes I cut my nails instead. Next I apply my base coat , I'm currently using an
Essie one that aims to strengthen and help your nails grow.
Now for the tricky part picking your nail colour I like to try out different nail polishes on a nail wheel mixing and matching and seeing what works and what doesn't.Once the difficult task of choosing a nail colour is over I paint my nails and use my trusty
Seche Vite topcoat to seal the polish and give it a gel like finish ! Then using my
Essie erase pen I correct any mistakes that I have made making sure that my mani looks catwalk ready. After that I pop some cuticle oil on my cuticles to keep them hydrated. Once the oil has dried in I like to use my
Crabtree and Evelyn Rose water hand cream to finish things off.
What do you use to pamper your hands and nails?
I really want to start getting in to using cuticle oil and hand cream after I've painted my nails,
