Guest Post #2

Hello Lovely People,

My name is Clare and I live in my own little area of the internet called ‘ A Bit of This and That’. I have been blogging since the end of June and I have enjoyed every part of it.  I have began to chat to people that I would have never met and I think (or hope) that I have made friends with other bloggers, through mutual interests.

So to the job in hand, my guest post for the lovely Sinead. Some of you may know that she recently did a guest post for me all about a lovely nail art design (something which I haven’t properly mastered yet) . So when she asked me if I would like to guest post on her blog, I thought why not return the favour J. It took me a while to think what to right about, but I thought that I would talk to you about my favourite 5 nail varnishes of the moment.

Now if you have ever visited my blog, you will know I’m not overly skilled in crazy nail art and that my nail varnish collection (which I have recently discovered is rather large) is made up mostly of Barry M and Rimmel (because they’re cheap). However, I do like to be girly and paint my nails every now and then and these are my current favourites. Sorry if that paragraph is ramblings but I hope you get my drift. So without further ado let’s get on to my favourites.

  1. Essie Mint Candy Apple. That’s right I’ve picked the polish, which has been doing the rounds in the blogosphere. It’s a lovely pastel green/blue colour, which I have loved ever since I bought it. As you may see from my favourites I am a fan of the pastels at the moment. For me personally, pastels are easy to wear in the summer and are usually cheery colours, which are useful colours to have for when the weather behaves itself and lets the sun shine.
  2. Barry M  Raspberry Pink – I love this colour, its not an overly in your face pink, in fact I love this colour so much that I have done a NOTD on my blog using this colour. Come and have a look at that.
  3. Rimmel Disco Ball – This nail polish is a clear polish with pieces of silver and blue small glitter in it. I don’t think that this polish would be able to be used alone to completely cover a nail in glitter but this is a great nail polish to do a graduated glitter nail with.
  4. No7 Snowflake – I’ve picked this colour because I have recently got into using this colour as a base for a few easy designs (like dots/stripes) . Once I’ve got them looking smart, I shall probably show them off on my blog.
  5. Barry M Berry Ice Cream – this colour is a pale pastel purple colour which is so wearable and can be worn with any outfit. This is one of my favourite colours because I love the colour purple but I don’t have many purple clothes so this is a close second.

So there are my five favourites. Please note that the names of the two Barry M ones may not be quite right ( or not at all right) but they usually have stickers but someone has peeled them off. So they have been guesses. Sorry.

So that’s my guest post. Thanks to Sinead for letting me have this experience and if you have enjoyed this post come over and visit me at ateeniebitofthisandthat.blogspot.co.uk.

Till Next Time,

  1. Sorry lovely readers of Sinead's blog it should say write not right. My first mistake.

    C xx

  2. I have Barry M pink colour like yours. I'm really disappointed with Barry M's nail polishes because they are really thin and streaky. For over £4 I expected better results. You need at least 2 coats. I'd save your money and go with Nails Inc. which is around £11 but the quality is fab. You only need one coat, so you don't use it all quickly like you would with a Barry M one as you need more than 2 coats, and it just glides onto your nail. I know I sound ridiculous, but I truly think Nails Inc. is the best nail polish brand out there.

  3. Sinead,
I just found this blog and I love it. I can't wait to click on some of the stuff on the sidebar and check it out. I'm going to county fair today, again, so I won't have time today, but I promise I will be back. It's so nice to meet you! I'm your newest follower.

  4. I forgot to mention, I'm your newest follower!!!! It's so nice to meet you!

  5. thank you so much nice to meet you too.
